Dracaena Warneckii 3.5"

Your Warneckii will thrive in bright indirect light, but will also tolerate lower light conditions. The plant will have slower growth when placed in lower light conditions, and the foliage colour may fade. Do not place in direct sunlight as this may burn the leaves of the plant.

Water your Dracaena once the top 2 inches of the soil is dry.  Water thoroughly, allowing water to penetrate through to all the roots. A perfect poor is one where just a little water comes out of the drainage holes. Do not allow plant to stand in water as this can promote root rot. Tap water can be hard on your plants. Best practice is to use distilled, filtered or tap water that has been standing for 24 hrs. allowing the chlorine and fluoride to evaporate.

Keep plant away from extreme temperature fluctuations, it will not appreciate a cold blast from an open door, for instance. If you notice brown tips, its looking for humidity.  You can increase the humidity by placing your plant o a pebble tray with water.  Be sure that the plant is not directly in the water. Misting your plant regularly will also help increase humidity. Be sure to mist around the plant, not directly on the leaves. Lastly, you can use a damp cloth to wipe the leaves once a week.

You can use diluted, basic plant food to fertilize with, as this plant isn't a great feeder. Once every three weeks is sufficient during the growing season, spring and summer. Discontinue fertilization during dormancy which is typically in fall and winter.

This plant does not mind being a bit root bound, but if the roots fill the pot too much it can restrict growth.  You can select a pot two sizes bigger and repot.
