Sansevieria trifasciata 'Moonshine' are a unique silver-leafed variety of Sansevieria, known also as Snake Plant and Mother-in-law's Tongue. It is one of the hardiest and most popular species of houseplants. They feature stiff, upright silver-green leaves with dark green edges. The leaves are 3"-4" wide at the base, narrowing to points at the top. Easy to grow and nearly indestructible, they will thrive in either very bright light or almost dark corners of the house.
Sansevieria recently was among several plants chosen by NASA for a study on how plants can be used for air purification. It demonstrated notable ability to remove formaldehyde and benzene from the air.
