How to Grow

SCHEDULING RECOMMENDATIONS Transplant liners late March to June and grow on through the summer under shade. Allow plants to go dormant and vernalize pots to promote a flush of new growth in spring. Sell vernalized pots in spring. We do not recommend transplanting liners later than July 4th and this is to allow plants to become established before the shorter days and cooler temperatures of fall arrive. Hosta will begin to shut down in a day length shorter than 14 hours.
